WHO WE ARE / MISSION STATEMENT

The PWA/HIV Coalition of Baltimore is a group of people living with HIV disease. We Include people of all races, genders, ages and sexual orientations. Our mission is to enhance the quality of our lives through service to each other and active involvement in the community. We seek to achieve these goals by:
  • Advocating for PWA/HIV rights and needs.
  • Promoting PWA/HIV interests in the community at large, through interaction with community-based organizations.
  • Providing peer support.
  • Meeting social and recreational needs of people with HIV disease.
  • Sharing current information on medical, social, financial, legal, and other HIV-related issues.
  • Visiting PWA/HIV's at home and in hospitals, prisons, and other institutions.
Remember: you don't have to go it alone!

A member of the PWA/HIV Coalition is anyone who is HIV-positive, who endorses our Mission, and who sends in a completed membership application. The membership of the PWA/HIV Coalition is strictly confidential! All correspondence is sent in plain un-marked envelopes and phone contacts never mention the Coalition. The PWA/HIV Coalition of Baltimore Inc., is a non-profit corporation chartered in the State of Maryland, and is tax-exempt under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Federal Internal Revenue Code.
