Allied Movements

People living with HIV often have to fight for issues that are indirectly related to their virus. Discrimination, heath care reform, prison reform, and medicinal marijuana are all known as allied movements because they are other social and political issues that people living with HIV/AIDS must face in their battle against HIV.

Allied movements don't simply relate to people living with HIV, they are widespread issues that relate to individuals, neighborhoods, the country, and the world.
