The Fight the Right Network is a Philadelphia organization with a regional focus. We have been in existence since April of 1994 and have organized a number of political projects in opposition to the political ascendancy of theocrats and fascists. We formulated Vision and Mission Statements at the end of 1994. The Network publishes Networking, a quarterly newsletter.

We do not have a membership structure. Rather, we have a number of open Working Groups.

Working Groups

The Communications Working Group produces publications which are distributed through postal mail, facsimile machines, and national and local Internet mailing lists. Back issues of our Internet publications, "Pennsylvania Expose", "FTRN Week" and "FIA Summary" are stored on the web.
The Interfaith Working Group consists of people of faith against theocracy.
The Opposition Research Working Group welcomes Pennsylvania volunteers with email who will assist in monitoring radio broadcasts, newspapers, and meetings. We maintain a resource center located at the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgendered Library / Archives of Philadelphia.
The Vote with Pride Working Group organizes voter registration.

Affiliated Organizations

The Network does not have formal "affiliated organizations." However, our working groups cooperate with a number of other groups. For example, Vote with Pride collaborates with the Pennsylvania League of Gay and Lesbian Voters. The Interfaith Working Group has organizational members. Opposition Research is done jointly with other groups associated with the Pennsylvania Alliance for Democracy (PAD). The publications and Internet mailing lists of the Communications Working Groups of the FTRN and the PAD provide a forum for numerous organizations who are working to counteract the political and religious right in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania.
