About the Fight the Right Network

The Fight the Right Network was a Philadelphia organization established in April of 1994. The first issue of our newsletter Networking was published in June, 1994. In December, 1994 we established our working group structure and formulated Vision and Mission Statements. In 1995 we became active on the Internet. In February, 1996 we joined with People for the American Way to develop the Pennsylvania Expose Project which is now a project of the Pennsylvania Alliance for Democracy.

In September 1996 the FTRN dissolved. The Interfaith Working Group of the FTRN became an independent entity and received the remaining funds of the FTRN. The organization's other asset, its mailing list, was made available to the Pennsylvania Alliance for Democracy and the Center for Lesbian and Gay Law and Public Policy.

During its two-year run, the FTRN played a role in increasing collaboration among the following groups.

ACT UP/Philadelphia ..Choice .. Christian Association of the University of Pennsylvania ..Critical Path Project ..
