Moms and Dads go to Washington
Houston PFLAG organized Moms and Dads, with help from the
Human Rights Campaign. On March 19, almost 200 parents, family
members and friends of lesbians and gays went to Washington, DC to
let Congress know that they support the Employment Non-Discrimination
Act.
Project Open Mind
National PFLAG has developed Project Open Mind (POM) as a
vehicle for delivering the PFLAG message to mainstream Americans. POM
was launched last November in Houston, Tulsa, and Atlanta. This
summer, Seattle, Minneapolis, and St. Louis are being added to the
roster of POM cities.
