PFLAG Local Chapters around the world

PFLAG, which stands for Parents, Family and Friends of Gays, is an organization that is intended to help families come to understand who you are and what you are going through. Once you are out to your family, it is really helpful to get them going to PFLAG meetings so they can get to know other people who have been where your parents and family are now.

To get your parents and family members to attend, it is helpful to ask them to do it for you. Don't tell them that it will help them; tell them it would be for you. By doing so, you don't put them on the defensive.

Here's information on joining PFLAG.
