Was there a reason why I accidentally sent a message meant for
Mizi to pflag-talk? Do more people need to know what's happening with
Rhea? I posted:
>Mitzi-- Rhea Murray who writes to me privately about her fear of
a
>civil suit because of her "Presbyterian Letter"
Joe Bordo is reading The Celestine Prophesy (if I remember the name right) which has something to do with the "Everything Happens for a Reason" notion. As a secular humanist, I'm *not at all* into this way of thinking. However, when you are as well connected on the net as I am, things do seem to fit together. I have Rhea's okay to tell you about the circumstances of the message and about:
A couple of weeks back I wrote to Mitzi Henderson asking her permission to put her 1994 speech on the web-- it's at http://www.critpath.org/pflag-talk/bridges/
(Sometime in the future, Steve C. and I will work on that section-- but that bridge is yet to be crossed.)
Mitzie has been in Seattle, launching POM, then visiting her daughter, so I didn't receive an answer from Mitzi's until Tuesday night.

I cannot quote Mitzi on the web without her permission-- she mentioned that she was going to Albuquerque. I wrote her immediately, sending her a copy of THE LETTER--something I'm not free to post on the web. Then I told pflag-talkers about some other Albuquerque related correspondence.
Ray's post about the Mel White video reached James Anderson who heads the More Light group of Presbyterian churches. I guess I relayed it, cause Anderson wrote to me that he wanted a copy of the video for use at the More Light Table at the Presbyterian General Assembly. Ray got to Mel and Mel has fed-exed it to Anderson at the hotel in Albuquerque.
I included Jim Anderson's letter and commented on the closing.

Since I'm not a believer in intecessionary prayer, I'll leave
responding to that request to others. I think my job is to put all
the Seymour, Indiana stuff on the web--all of which is verification
of the information in THE LETTER-- and to make sure that anyone who
wants to reach the Plaza Inn knows how. The 800 number reaches the
same phone as the 505 number. Chris, perhaps this needs to go on the
religion list.
